El Paso is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and El Paso follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Just went in for 2 large menudos which they apparently don’t even give you bread like every other place in El Paso does. I get home and opened one of the containers and I start getting a strong chemical type smell coming from the menudo. Opened the second one, same thing. Not sure if it was just the containers they use or what. I was so disgusted I immediately trashed them both. Theres been also several times in the past when i get tamales from there that are not fully cooked, I see that’s a common complaint also. No complaints to the store from me they just lose my business forever & this little google review. :)

DON’T BUY THE TAMALES!!! I went in on Tuesday morning wanted some tamales and was greeted by a very rude cashier. I bought half a dozen 3 red 3 green with cheese, I got home and all the green tamales were raw super raw. Luckily I live not even a minute away so I decided to go back and explained what had happened, the lady decided to let me know that’s how they are when they are recently out of the pot (not true by the way they were literally raw) she gave me new ones and took the old ones. Tell me why I get home and they are also raw, i decided to not go back and just finish cooking them at home. If you are gonna buy check them first!!

Very lovely bakery and such a good selection of breads to pick from. I'm a sucker for empanadas and i would buy more than a dozen if I could! And their conchas and donuts are also super soft and fluffly too.

What can I say? This place should be a historic El Paso icon. Best food, best people, best bakery, and recently they added a little coffee area and now serve burritos and other goodies! It was perfect before for sweet bread, but now it’s perfectER for anyone looking for a quick reliable breakfast or lunch to go! They have champurrado too now and I think that’s daily

I got the most beautiful concha bouquet from my parents today for my birthday. I told them I have always wanted one and this one is more beautiful than I could have asked. I love it so much. Couldn’t help but nibble on it and the conchas were delicious. There were adorable flower cookies in it as well and they were delicious too. I also love what I call β€œpink cake” (cortadillo/pastel de niΓ±os) and Gussie’s made it special for me. It’s so yummy. The cake is moist and fluffy. I highly recommend this bakery! Thanks for making my birthday so special. ❀️
